Team communication: Please compose slack messages that you would send out to communicate with the company about two different scenarios: A slack message informing all employees that a critical security update has been released for MacOS devices and they should upgrade ASAP. The message should explain briefly why it’s urgent, on what timeline they need to update, and how to go about updating. We’re looking for friendly, helpful, informative and as simple/concise as possible. A slack message in a private IT channel that includes IT stakeholders, proposing a policy for how to decide whether a given SaaS app being requested by employees should be required to use SSO or not. (For example, an app like Slack that everyone uses should likely be behind SSO; an app that only 1-2 people use may not need to be. What should the criteria be? Should cost be a factor?) Please explain your reasoning so your colleagues can understand your logic and engage with your suggestion. Documentation: suppose that you’ve recently procured and set up some Zoom phone numbers for the team to use. Imagine that you’ve set up a single shared switchboard/IVR number, plus 3 additional direct numbers for specific departments (Recruiting, Accounting, and People team). Please write a brief document that explains: How the overall numbers are set up (which number does what) How to use them as an end user How they are configured, and key points for other IT personnel to be aware of (e.g. how to make changes to the IVR options). Vendor evaluation: Please write up a proposal document for how you would evaluate multiple vendors when choosing an MDM solution for the company to use. Include what criteria you think are most important (e.g. what are “must have/critical” features vs “nice to haves”) as well as how you would test and evaluate the different vendors to make a selection. You need not include specifics about real vendors; this document should just outline the criteria you would use to make a decision. (In other words, what you are providing here is the template document that you would fill out when doing the actual evaluation; it is not meant to be an actual comparison of vendors.)
