I really wished I came on Glassdoor before the interview, it seems there has been no change in the interview process, or that it’s highly similar, regardless of the business position you are applying for. I’m sure people who’ve gone through the process will share this with friends who also apply… so hopefully this makes it a more level playing field. The initial process really seems easy to game as long as you know someone inside or who has gone through this, even though I’m sure some effort was put into preparing it. It seems there is a huge advantage from information asymmetry. There are 3 parts to the assessment center: 1. (~25min) As someone has described, GMAT-type data sufficiency questions, about 20, and you’re given 5min to look through some examples. I think they should be quite easy if you have prior knowledge of this and practice so you’re familiar with what kind of assumptions/lack thereof (how deep it drills) it has. I’ve checked out some sample questions online since, I think I saw two online that were almost the same within the first 5min lol. 2. (~40min) A task to draw the layout for their new office, stating your assumptions. You are given headcount and functional team. Followed by a question asking you to estimate the # tyres in Singapore. 3. (can’t remember, 20min?) A series of short questions on paper, in no particular order: 1. There is another back-of-the-envelope-type question, but it’s quite easy; 2. There is also the question on a gift for lady gaga’s wedding as someone has described; 3. How would you catch some monster in Marina Bay?; 4. How many flyers should you prepare to bring for campus recruiting if you don’t want to bring any?; 5. List 7 ways of using a cork; 6. Draw logic. 7. Write something that would get them to remember you; I’m missing one or some, but you get the idea. No idea what the purpose of this section was. This is followed by a short interview with HR. Not so much behavourial, just running through your CV and past experiences, and motivations for applying for the role, and what you know about the company.
