This was the best interview experience I've had so far in my 20 year career. Honestly. No stress, no worries, never felt "in the dark" so to speak.
Initially the (in-house) recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. We had a phone screen that covered expectations for the position and went over my background. We also went over the company structure, benefits, compensation, etc.
The recruiter was absolutely amazing. Very candid and forthcoming with information, never left me waiting for a reply. Exceeded any expectations I had.
From there there was a Zoom call with the hiring manager (Covid had us remote...hence the need for Zoom!). Easy to get scheduled, and extremely easy to talk to. I immediately felt comfortable and that never changed throughout the interview.
Next was a half day of interviews with the rest of the team, including the Sr. Director, and hiring manager again.
(Again over Zoom due to Covid!)
Everyone on the team was extremely welcoming, and more than willing to share information about the tech stack and structure, design, etc, and asked questions related to my background. We talked about upcoming projects and other items mutually about how my background could be applied.
Normally a long interview all at once is tiring, but it was over before I knew it since everyone was so easy to relate to and talk to.
I can't overstate enough how welcoming and approachable everyone was from start to finish.
The entire process only took about a week, and was so smooth. Absolutely no stress.
