I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at gategroup (Luton, East of England, England) in Feb 2019
Interview
One-to-one discussion with hiring manager covering the company, job role, my CV & experience. It was very informal and relaxed, which allowed for a very natural and honest conversation.
I was made to feel very welcome which gave me a positive outlook both on the process and my opinion of the company as a place to work.
There were some skills relevant questions to gauge an understanding of my level of experience and knowledge, but all were easily answered.

Question 1
How would you handle differing personalities within a team?
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at gategroup (Gatwick, England) in Nov 2018
Interview
Very poor impression of the company.
The interview itself felt rushed, disorganised and I felt like an inconvenience to one of my two interviewers. Extremely lean organisation even for aviation with nothing to meet you upon arriving but a empty room with just a sign in book and a chair.
Generic interview with some standard questions regarding motivations, aspirations etc then competency based questions. Once done a tour was given of the operations which was brilliant and a nice touch unique to this process but the only positive of the day.
Had to wait over 3 weeks for any feedback or update at all and once finally received was a generic copy rejection template with my name inserted and no effort to hide this fact made. No feedback given despite requesting this.
Overall left a very poor impression, made me think that if you put this little effort into attracting new talent, how poor must your efforts be to try retain it also.
