Interview
I was contacted by a Recruiter from eBay for a position at Caramel. I met with two interviewers after my phone screening. I had the pleasure of speaking with the one of the employees however, I did not enjoy speaking with the other. Throughout the interview, it felt as though that particular person did not want to be here at all or was completely disinterested. From the get-go, I could tell I wasn't moving forward based on his energy and I feel as though I wasn't given a fair chance at all. Why interview if you aren't going to at least fake your excitement to meet a potential new teammate? Maybe someone else is supposed to be in his place. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend applying for Caramel.

Interview
Totally unprofessional interviewer — showed up 15 minutes late to the call and then pretended like nothing happened. Then started the interview by asking me what questions I had about the job, basically making me do her job for her. Then told me she'd be setting me up with someone else and totally ghosted me. Glad I dodged a bullet, will never recommend interviewing here to anyone!

Interview
Got an interview invite after applying online.
1. Coding interview - your basic React app development, custom dropdowns and API integration
2. Coding interview - another React app, a custom accordion with dummy data
3. Coding interview - a string manipulation with JS. The poor network connection during this interview affected my output and they unfairly used this against me.
4. They said it was supposed to be a managerial/leadership interview but it ended up as a sort of system design. It wasn’t clear what the interviewer wanted for the requirements because it kept changing with each question. I like to add the interviewer had poor grasp of English because I had to dumb down whatever I said.
5. Again another system design but it was from backend like setting cache on server. Then they asked about real time communication on apps. I don’t know why these people thought I would be an expertise on it.
Anyway, the interview seemed totally unfair especially to the end. The questions were vague and taken from topics that wasn’t part of the JD.
