I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at eBay in May 2016
Interview
I was invited to interview based on a high level and generalized PM job description.
During the interview I was asked to provide my ideas on what to do to make a particular product better. It assumed a fair amount of domain expertise. The questions gave the impression They were looking for a consultant with ideas, not a PM with skills aptitude.
Didn't pursue the opportunity further.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at eBay (Shanghái, Shanghai) in Aug 2014
Interview
I apply the internship via bbs. About 1 week later, I received a programming test (Some JavaScript problems). After that, a phone interview about virtual member function, dangling pointer and so on. Finally, onsite in eBay, Shanghai office, with 2 questions, Reverse linked list & LCS. The interviewer was nice, and I accepted the offer.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at eBay (Sunnyvale, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Contacted on LinkedIn. I interviewed for 2 teams with separated processes. It all went quickly and I got offer the week after from both. I told them I have 2 other offers and they gave me a very competitive package. No negotiation need from my side.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly basic tree questions. Some tricky questions that require to think about the pattern, almost like brain teasing questions. Last rounds contain mostly design questions regarding your previous job design or a fictional one.
