eBay interview questions

EBay Cloud team is very low end. They are going to hire 30+ ppl it seems but the team looked very low end. Right from the questions asked to the knowledge level of the team in terms of algorithms, design and data structures. When asked for a solution to read and sort names of ppl stored in a file on the disk, when I gave them an optimized in memory read, sort, right back to disk solution, the interviewer told me "You dont need to do the sorting in memory. You are thinking too much!". Well! you plan to build your own cloud solution with this level of knowledge?! You want to.do away with Nicara's product but do you have the skillsets? When i explained the architecture of a distributed system i was working in my prev company, the interviewer didnt even seem to understand and appeared totally lost ! I resolved all the problems in optimized way and did very well but they didnt give offer. Looked to me they might have thought they would have needed to pay me more if offered and also i believe the interviewers thought they wont be able to work with such skilled ppl, so they made a negative report and submitted. Man! get some candidates from Cisco or other low end companies for your interviews. I have an offer from Uber and joining!!!
