I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at eBay (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jul 2020
Interview
I interviewed for an Engineering Manager role in their London office in Shoreditch.
- First call with internal recruiter. Discussed my experience, salary expectation, etc.
- A few days later, call with the hiring manager - Head of Engineering, in this case. He was very nice, we discussed my experience, my motivation, people management, etc.
- One week later, a full day of interviews, split into various sessions (management, technical, product, etc). It was intense but overall felt well organised.
The process up until this point was very pleasant and smooth. I had told them at the beginning that I had to move quickly and they seemed to accomodate me.
However, during the last interview I was told that I would have heard back in 2-3 days max, instead they kept me waiting for 3 weeks. After chasing them repeatedly and stressing that I had a time time constraint (I had to give an answer to other companies), they still didn't have any feedback for me, at which point I gave up and took another offer. By the way, 6 weeks later I still haven't received any feedback, let alone heard from them.
