I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at eBay in Oct 2022
Interview
Had an initial phone screening with the recruiter, followed by a zoom interview with the hiring manager. All went smooth up to this point, and both interviews occurred within 2 weeks of applying. I then was invited back for additional interviews with a potential peer and the hiring manager’s leader, this is where things went off the rails. The leader no showed, apparently there was a mix up and the recruiter forgot to reschedule me. Then the recruiter accidentally sends me 2 separate candidate’s resumes and their notes on their initial phone screenings. After that I was basically ghosted, I was given one date for follow up which passed without any word. I had to reach back out and was given a second date which also passed without any word. In the end I got a generic TBNT email almost 4 weeks after my final interview. No reasoning and no feedback, even though eBay encourages you to reach out to your recruiter after each interview for feedback!
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at eBay (Hastings-on-Hudson, NY) in Nov 2022
Interview
the EBay company reached out to me via email requesting an interview. I responded the next day, but then they never replied to my response or my follow-up. Never heard back from them
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at eBay (Remote) in Nov 2022
Interview
The process overall was around 5 rounds: 1st with the Hiring Manager, 2nd/3rd was a two part team panel - met 2 the first 45mins then one person for another 45mins, 4th round was with the manager of the Hiring Manager, 5th round was a recap with the Hiring Manager again.
The recruiter reached out to me from ebay but didn’t give any clues to what the salary would be they told me they couldn’t say because it was a “new” position, but found out it actually isn’t.
When I received the the the offer via phone the recruiter told me they couldn’t send me the salary range again by email; Like it was a secret. The salary was very low (not market value), especially for what all they wanted you to do; Design, development, and potentially graphic work.
I also learned they aren’t as organized as other corporations, but I’m sure anyone looking to get their foot in the door this would be your opportunity to make a huge impact.
Hope this helps!
