I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at eBay (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2022
Interview
After my initial application, I was moved through the process quickly. The second step was a technical assessment consisting of generic math problems, word problems, and a standard typing test. After passing this assessment, I moved to the third step. The third step was a prerecorded video interview. It had 12 questions and seemed easy enough. However, they do not give you much time to prepare to answer these questions.
The STAR method is dated and it is what they recommend you use to progress through the video interview. The audio playback from my video was very quiet and for a segment of the interview, my camera froze. I was unable to stop the interview and attempt to fix it on my end. They say that an actual recruiter goes through your video interview but I don’t believe this to be the case. I got a generic rejection email at 4AM the following day. I highly doubt a real human being was watching my video in the early morning hours for a customer service position.
If you’re going to require people to record a video for an interview, at least make sure the platform is stable and resumable in the event of technology being technology.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at eBay (Dublín, Dublín) in Jan 2020
Interview
One Round - basic questions. Over Zoom. Two members of management. Not exactly anything majorly difficult. Basic questions were asked because it seemed like they had no idea what else to ask. They expect you to come with questions.

Multiple interviews including over the phone and video. Standard interview questions, but have examples readily available for times you overcame a challenging work task, or difficult customer interaction. Call center experience a big plus.
