I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at eBay
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter on Linkedin, had a introduction call for 30 minutes where we discussed my background, roles available and next steps. Then my resume was sent to respective team and first round was scheduled.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at eBay in Oct 2020
Interview
The interview process consists of 8 interviews: 2 phone, and 6 onsite.
In a phone interview, one was generic ML, and another one was more ML depth plus little coding(ML related).
On onsite interviews there were 6 rounds, most of them were ML depth, ML coding focused except one leetcode focused. Though everyone on the panel was exceptionally good, the interview process itself was a bit faulty. Interviews were scattered all over places, generally Coding, ML depth happens in the first half, but in my process, it was all haphazard. My last round was leetcode focused and after 5 hours of rigorous interviews it was tough to focus and it didn't go that well.

Find the median of a large-scale dataset (without sorting).
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at eBay (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2012
Interview
I was contacted by 2 separate recruiters for 2 positions. I went through a phone screen for one of the positions, but never heard back/received any feedback (positive or negative) from the recruiter afterwards. Very unprofessional.
For the other position in Redmond, WA, the on-site interview consisted of 6 straight interviews in one day, with only 30 mins. (!) for lunch, where they continued to interview me while eating. I found the quality level of interviewing to be low on average, consisting very standard coding questions and coding trivia questions. Finally at the end of the day, there was confusion as to how to get me back to my hotel from the office: it took over an hour just to figure out how to hail a taxi.
