My phone interview with HR was a quick screening type of conversational interview. Just discussing my last employment what were some of my duties and then she had time to tell me about the MIT program and briefly touched on pay benefits and how the process works. so far very positive experience but I’ve only had 1 of 3 interviews so I’ll add details as I can

Recruiter interview followed by an in person interview. The DM questions were fluff questions and quite frankly a waste of my time. They consisted of generic questions like Why Aldi? Tell me about yourself? Why did you leave your last employer? What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? All read off a laptop. These questions were ones that would be asked of an associate level candidate and not of a Store Manager candidate who had District Manager experience behind them. The DM did not take notes and was impersonal. I felt there was a bias against me as I had more experience than her and was older than her. Comments regarding pace and work efficiency was added in while stating that store managers work on the floor and not on the office. Implying that would be my work ethic. There was no digging into any type of store manager scenario questions. When I explained to her that I applied for 2 roles with the company in 2 different districts, and the recruiter from the phone interview did not call me for the other position after sending me an interview invite, she apologized and said that wasn’t in her zone. No attempt to problem solve or correct the issue. I did not feel excited, or even inspired to work for her based on her interaction and interview process.
