As I was applying for a course-developer position, I was asked to expand on my method of developing curricula in the past (previously, I worked as a front-line ESL teacher for 18 years). I was also asked to explain the present perfect verb tense; this seems to be a favourite question in the ESL hiring field.

How may children do you have? What are their ages? What are their occupations? What does your husband do? At this point the interviewer said he was now going to get personal. I left before I found out what 'personal' meant.
