Education background and work experience on CV, why the switch to business industry. Tell me a time you handled a conflict within a team environment. Case study on solar energy in Malaysia based on previous engineering experience. Interview was toward the business case study format. The interview questions were overall fine. There were three interviewers, the executive director, deputy general manager, and another team manager in the related department. However, the negative impression I get from this company is that it is based in a traditional Malaysian corporate hierarchy where most senior management are of the baby boomer generation and can be quite harsh and unempathetic. I felt at times these senior interviewers were a little condescending, especially when I struggled to answer their questions. One of them even mocked the disparity in my intelligence vs my education background (as I came from a reputable university) when I produced an answer they did not find satisfactory. This I found slightly unprofessional to take personal jabs at the interviewee. There was also some communication difficulty and misunderstanding as I was not providing the answers in a format that they wanted. Yet, instead of explaining how they wanted me to present my answer, they just kept repeating the same question over and over again which did not help.
