The most unexpected question I got was, "So, why do you want to get into debt collections?" For some reason, I didn't expect that question. After training I figured out that they probably ask because this company has truly 'broken the code' on the dignified and 'kinder' way to collect debt and they are very serious about it - providing you with a script to follow, providing you with 2-weeks of training, and great leadership. Additionally, there is no allowance for rudeness to consumers.
