Q3 Tell us about a time when you had to make a decision with limited information. Q4: Tell us about a time when you had to effectively work with others to solve a problem. Q5: Give us an example of a time you witnessed a member of your team acting against established work policies or procedures. What actions did you take and what were the results? Q2-Q5 were STAR questions. Then after these, there are two extra questions, one was about shapes where you had to match boxes with similar shapes and the other was a mathematics question where you had to determine which numbers were used to get to the answer. As the Chief Engineer Supervisor you are required to hold and maintain a Chief B or higher License from the State of Minnesota which will be used to register with the Department of Labor and Industry as “Chief Engineer” for the Department of Administration. Please describe your past experience serving in this role or your knowledge of what the duties would entail.
One of the biggest challenges of this position is holding accountable employees who work in different areas and are on the move all day. Give us an example of a time when an employee in your line of command had a performance problem. What was the nature of the performance issue? What steps were taken to address and correct the performance issue? What was the end result?
