Tell me about a typical day on the job.
The questions were all very easy to answer. Asked about organizational skills and other personal qualities. Very few, if any, questions about my resume.
They asked about work experience.
Q: Work History and how it applies Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years
The primary concern was whether or not I had experience working with historical records. This should have been a huge red flag. They had no idea what an archivist was or did. They were interested to know whether I knew about records management. I was so interested in the position and saw the potential, that I ignored some basic red flags. The position was required an MLIS, however, they really didn't need an archivist or someone with a masters degree. They needed a records clerk. The position was incorrectly listed as an archival position.
