What are you looking for in your next role?
Name a time you interact with a stakeholder in xyz ways. How do you deal with conflict. Some high level questions about dbt and the tools and technologies an analytics engineering would use. The SQL take home was very easy, I don't think it was the best way to technically assess for analytics engineering.
What is the project you have been the most proud of? If you had to re-do it again, what would you have done differently?
What was your favorite data-related project? What was the project's goals, your role, challenges faced, and outcomes?
How do you detect where an error occurs in your pipeline?
They use the STAR format
Had 3/4 technical interviews (1 take home, 1 thought experiement, 1 live coding, 1 talk through with data engineering of a problem). It's hard to prepare because they are strange questions and I don't think they really knew what to ask because they didn't know what they needed.
Usual recruiter type of questions. Tell me about yourself etc.
Should college students be required to take courses outside their major? Calculate the median based on a data set in sql.
