I was dropping resumes at random stores and came by Zara. I applied last year november. I went and handed my resume and head office was in the store that day. Specifically HR. I had an on the spot interview and received a call back in a week. I accepted the offer and I am still currently working there. It's been a year.
Interview questions are very simple. I felt comfortable and felt like i was just having a normal conversation with a more professional outlook. Questions about my studies, what I do, what I like. What department I'd like to work in and why? Why I applied at Zara? and skill questions pertaining to retail. But it's definitely nothing to stress about. As long as you have a positive vibe, a nice smile and show that you're keen and hardworking.
This job is pretty rewarding. It's hard but rewarding. You gain so many skills that are transferable and the managers that i have had in my department have luckily been amazing. It's never a dull moment with my coworkers. It's just that certain stores have high amounts of volume and a lot is expected and sometimes you may feel unappreciated and certain things may annoy you. However, this happens anywhere corporate you work. So far my experience has been great. I'd recommend applying if you're 1) hardworking 2) need real experience 3) want to grow in the retail/fashion industry
Also the pay isn't bad... you get commission but it could be better. However, compare it to anywhere else, the pay is good for students especially in retail and during the holidays I'd recommend it highly.
