Question 1
Case study was based on Sales Force incentive Compensation. 30 minutes to analyze and answer 9 questions. Then a 45 minutes interview based on the case study to come up with strategies and recommendations.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ZS Associates (Kharagpur, West Bengal) in Dec 2014
Interview
The interview will take place in 3 rounds :
Round 1: Case study (30 minutes) followed by discussion(45 mins.) on it - Consultant/Manager
Round 2: Guesstimates, puzzles, general aptitude and grilling on resume - Manager
Round 3: Stress Interview - Manager
Round 4: General questions by a Principal
Round 1 will be the basic case interview round where you are given a case study depending on the profile you choose ( out of Business Analyst/Operations/Technology) followed by a detailed discussion where you will be justifying your recommendations.
Round 2 & 3 can be merged as well depending on the situation. For me, it was one long round where I was asked 2-3 puzzles and 3 guesstimates. I then had to defend my resume. It was followed by a stress interview where the manager tries to get into your head by saying that you are a very average person and that your resume is simple textbook. You need to keep your head straight in this round- the purpose of this round is to judge how you deal with the situation under pressure. Try putting up a smile and do not panic.
Round 4 depends on how much the team is impressed by you. I was not required to appear for this round as I they seemed pretty happy with me.
