I applied online. I interviewed at ZEISS Group in Sep 2023
Interview
The first interview was with HR for generic info about me and my career. The second interview was with 2 team members and was more about why I'd want to work at Zeiss, why with that specific line of product etc. What was interesting though that the team members that were interviewing me were writing to each other or someone else and smiling/laughing for about 10 min DURING the interview which was highly unprofessional and made me quite uncomfortable.

I applied online. I interviewed at ZEISS Group (München, Bavaria) in Sep 2022
Interview
I experienced a multi-stage interview process, beginning with a Human Resources (HR) interview, followed by a technical interview specifically focused on Python. In the technical interview, I was tasked with a coding challenge that required me to demonstrate my Python programming skills within a one-hour time frame. After completing the challenge, I submitted my solution as instructed. However, despite submitting the challenge, I never received any further communication or feedback from the company

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ZEISS Group (Karlsruhe, Baden-Wurttemberg) in Aug 2023
Interview
I was approached by the R&D team lead while I was on the verge of finishing my PhD and got invited to meet the team. Extremely nice and warm atmosphere with a very natural and free-flowing conversation. No b***s**t HR questions, only interviewers were the actual managers and technical team leads. They were only interested in getting to know me as a person and were I want to go in
