The recruiter sent me the resume and I was told to have the interview. The recruiter is way more professional than the company ironically. I went to the interview, dressed up in a suit and arrived 15 mins earlier. The hiring manager didn't arrive. I was thirsty and asked the receptionist if I can have a cup of water as I need to talk in the interview. She just said she didn't have water. 10mins after the scheduled time, the hiring manager arrived. I stood up and said Hi, he briefly shook my hand and then asked the receptionist while pointing at me if I was only meeting with him. The receptionist had no idea. Then it was the interview. HR interviewed me first, mostly behavioural questions, she was nice. Then it was the hiring manager. He obviously didn't even look at my resume before the interview. He was twisting his chair, playing around my resume and asked me only 1 to 2 questions in total and asked me if I had any questions. His attitude just made very awkward on the spot and I wasn't prepared to be treated like this even at the initial interview stage but I tried to answer it professionally. At the end of week, the recruiter told me the feedback is I was extremely nervous. But the fact was, it was just extremely awkward.
