An internal recruiter contacted me within a couple of days of applying online in late October 2023. I proceeded through four rounds of interviews, three with peer-level employees and a fourth with the hiring manager.
One of the peer-level interviews was an "Assessment Round" where I was asked to optimize a marketing campaign email displayed on the screen for me. I was not given any details about the assessment in advance, but it was fairly straightforward if not terribly formal.
The recruiter was responsive throughout the timeframe in which I was interviewing, and I was told that the hiring team would be making a decision the week after Thanksgiving.
As you can see, I'm now writing three months to the date after applying. After a vague update about my profile "being on hold" and a lack of clarification on what this means, I have not had an update since late December. My application remains marked "in progress" in Western Union's Workday system but I have not heard from anyone at the company for more than a month.
This is a real shame because I enjoyed the peer-level conversations a lot and felt like the role was an exciting opportunity.
