I applied online and received a call for the pre-screen interview. I then was called to interview in-person. The interview consisted of mostly technical and behavioral questions.
I received a call about an offer about 2-3 weeks later.
The HR rep called and discussed the offer with me. I had questions regarding the offer that we discussed at length and instructed the HR personnel to send the offer letter so that I could review. I received an email with the proposed salary, PTO and bonus and a benefits brochure. I reviewed the offer and proposed a counter offer. The HR rep called me a week later, telling me that the offer had been rescinded. The reasoning behind their recession was they felt they were blindsided. I asked what they were blindsided by?Because my counter was within the same pay range as mentioned in the initial interview. I also discussed the possibility of a sign on bonus. I was not given a clear answer.
In my opinion they were unprofessional during the interview process. There was a lot of time wasted while discussing the terms of employment. The lack of communication and the abrasiveness of the staff Illustrates the company culture.
If someone who interviewed is treated like this I wonder what employees go through.
