This actually goes to Karat who conducted the phone screening.
Coding challenge: Similar to “Word search” LC79 but with one small change, we can only go either to the right or down.
Karat feedback: Candidate missed a core logic to keep track of visited cells!
But did I?! Can we bite our tail if we only go right/down in a grid?
System design questions was like:
We have a service that needs low latency of 20ms. Now! Eventual consistency or Strong consistency?
Karat feedback: Candidate answered EC did not point to SLA!
How on earth do you know we even have an SLA to begin with?!
No need to mention I failed!
Wayfair recruiter was kind and suggested to retake the test, which I passed.
You know what? I deserved it! I should have listened to others who already tried Karat.

Overall ok but the coding test environment is like a black box that you just can’t debug. If you solve by debugging, you’re doomed. LeetCode won’t really prepare you for this.

The 1st round was Coding round on Hacker rank, the question was to validate if given set of IP address or not.
The second question was on Task scheduling which was based on hashmap.
