I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wayfair
Interview
Cold, aggressive, arrogant. This is how I would characterize the hiring manager (supervisor for this role) and his interview style. It was clear to me after only a few minutes that my interviewer was absolutely not someone with whom I would want to work. I suppose that I'm used to being treated with a higher level of professional respect.
Previously, I interviewed at Wayfair for another position and also had a negative experience. My impression is that the hiring managers are not very thoughtful about how best to screen candidates. They just don't seem to know what they are doing. Whether their attitudes reflect a lack of training, youth, or company culture, this is not a company at which I would seek employment in the future.
On a positive note, the HR recruiters were professional and competent.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview consisted primarily of being grilled about my work and personal history. One concrete example of his problematic approach was attempting to probe into inappropriate levels of personal or professional detail that were not relevant, intrusive, or conflicting with confidentiality. Additionally, he cut me off (I was not rambling) before I was able to answer one of his main questions about the business impact of a project that I had worked on.

Interview
The recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn, we scheduled a time, and she asked basic screening questions. The very first thing she mentioned was that the work model is “hybrid”: Monday to Thursday in the office, and Fridays working from home.

Interview
Had a phone interview with the hiring manager where I was asked a math question. I answered it pretty well, but was later called and told that I lacked "mental maturity" and they would only consider me for the Sr Analyst role. I said no and ended the process there out of principle.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Wayfair (Berlín) in Sep 2021
Interview
- First a group manager reached me on linkedin and we arranged a call with HR
- HR called me and explained basics, process, etc..
- Codility test was really easy. SQL question and a short algorithm question.
I only asked to complete 1 of them but since I had time I completed both of them. Tried them n codility workspace and they were successfully worked !
additionally 2 other analytical thinking question. 1st one was about removing call center number from website, what happens and how you behave.
2nd one, I was given a really small dataset and they wanted me to analyze it, descriptive basic graphs.
As soon as I completed codility, I wrote to HR. Because I know there is no way that I can fail, when anyone check my CV, no one does !
And when I asked them where I failed, can you give me feedback, I got no answer.
Hugely disappointed about such a big company.
