I was contacted by Wayfair for a role in the HR department. I had 1 phone screen, and then 3.5 hours of interviews in-person with 7 different people. I was given the impression from the beginning that I was a great candidate, only to find out that the team was divided and they chose not to hire me because not everyone was on board. THEY reached out to me for this role, complimented my case studies, and then didn't hire me. I never even applied! The process felt WAY too political for a place that claims to have a "start-up" culture. The whole experience felt unprofessional.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Very drawn out, had spoken with the recruiter via email and phone calls for several months before I was brought in for an in-person interview. When I was in the office I was told I would be interviewing for two separate roles - this was not previously communicated to me.

I applied online. I interviewed at Wayfair (Berlín) in Aug 2014
Interview
It was a very hot day and I was sitting in a mid sized room with two people for 90 minutes. I wasn't even offered a glass of water, which I found very contradictory on their general approach of being different towards candidates or employees.
Disappointing final as I never received a feedback.
