Question 1
Experience based discussion. Case based interviews.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in May 2019
Interview
30 minute introduction call with internal recruiter, followed by skype interview with cross-functional employer. All handled by an internal recruiter. My personal experience was that the recruiter didn't listen to me when I clearly outlined what I was looking for in my next career move. Overall I felt like the process was quite mechanical (not personal) and it was about filling a role and not about me and whether or not I was the perfect candidate.
Ultimately, I decided not to continue to pursue the role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The initial phone interview was a 'behavioral interview' - questions about how I manage people, how I handle situations, my communication styles etc.
Initial contact in Wayfair interview was an internal recruiter that seemed to have little association with the department of the position I was applying to. This first interview felt a bit too corporate and automated for a creative role.
