Wayfair Data Science interview questions

Long and impersonal process... I applied through a referral. After a week I received a link for a 2hr coding assessment. After I submitted that assessment... crickets for ~25 days(!). Then, I received an invitation for a first round. It was a case study, that required some basic NLP knowledge. Then after 2 weeks, I was notified that I made it to the final round. However they didn't tell me when that was about to happen, I was notified less than 48 in advance (!). The final had a behavioral, a case, and a coding round. The case interview was all about time series, although it was clear from my resume that this is not my area of expertise. For a very ML/DL-heavy position, I was surprised that I wasn't probed for my understanding of ML algorithms or statistics, nor an opportunity was given to me to discuss in-depth my past projects. The rejection came after 4 business days.

Don’t waste your time interviewing here. The pay is terrible and they give you a take home exam. They try to interview like faang but not worth your time. I did really good on the interviews and the take home exam, but they come back and tell you that they really like you but don’t think had enough knowledge on time series but since they like you, they want you to interview for this other position at wayfair.
