I applied online. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in May 2021
Interview
One 30 minute phone call with recruiter. Said he'd be getting back to me personally - received system generated email that they would not be moving forward with my application a few days later.
The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wayfair (New York, NY)
Interview
I think this was the worst interview experience of my career. I had to do a case study and informed the recruiter ahead of time of a disability. On the day of the interview (video interview) their conference system wasn't working. I was supposed to do a case study but ended up just having a phone call with the hiring manager. He made me do the case study without being able to see any of the information or numbers. I struggled with it in part because I didn't receive the basic accomodations I had asked for, and in part because the person I was interviewing with ended up being a massive jerk. The guy kept telling me to work faster and was very clearly annoyed that I was struggling, which ended up stressing me out and making it even harder to focus. I've never bombed an interview so badly and still walked away glad it didn't work out. That was my first impression with the manager and company and I would never want to work there after that experience. I have also vowed never to shop at Wayfair again either.
first round was a video interview, started off with intros and some behavioral questions, and moved into a case. left some time at the end for additional questions. If you move forward, there is a super day.
