I had a first-round technical interview through Flexton (staffing agency), and unfortunately it was by far one of the worst interview experiences I’ve had. The problem itself was a standard LeetCode-style question and not particularly difficult. However, the interviewer’s behavior made the experience uncomfortable. He required me to share my entire screen and even questioned my default camera settings, asking me to open my laptop display settings, which felt unnecessarily invasive. During the problem-solving portion, he repeatedly interrupted me with unsolicited comments. Less than five minutes in, he said I was “taking longer than expected.” Throughout the interview, I was trying to explain my thought process, but he completely ignored me and continued making condescending remarks such as “It’s been x minutes and you still haven’t solved it” and “Have you been practicing LeetCode?” These interruptions made it difficult to focus and created an adversarial atmosphere. Overall, the interview felt extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
I’m sharing this feedback so Walmart is aware of how its contracted interviewers may be representing the company in early-stage screenings.
