WORST EXPERIENCE
Interviewer was late for the interview and started it saying that he hadn’t got time to review my resume yet. It was disappointing to start the interview knowing that he hasn’t spent any time on my resume before showing up.
To make the matter worse, he made a baseless allegation during the interview process that I was cheating by saying that I am not looking at him when I was typing my code. I told him that I am typing and hence my eyes are being off his face but he insisted that I was probably looking at the other tab in the browser for help. I had my white board ready for the interview and I suggested that if he feels like that I am happy to write my full code on the whiteboard with the camera covering the wider angle so that it can be confirmed that it’s my own thought process. I offered this option twice but he did not take it and ranted his baseless allegations again. Besides it seemed like he was not open for any different solution than what he has in his mind.
If trust is an issue, Walmart is well capable of implementing technology that tracks browsers during interview. But you don’t make baseless allegations just like that. It is offensive and unethical. Worst experience ever. I withdrew a couple of other applications that I had lined up with Walmart.
