I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Connersville, IN) in Mar 2013
Interview
The interview was with an Assistant Manager and involved some conversational questions (e.g., where I went to high school and college, if . Was told my hours could easily work around my class schedule. After those came the Rather short first interview, I remember. It was a positive experience overall. The Manager was great, and actually cared. Follow up interviews were largely spent in front of a computer, learning SOPs for both the Produce department specifically as well as the store-wide ones that everyone in every department has to know. Like where the brooms and dustpans are, etc.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Walmart (Norman, OK) in Jun 2016
Interview
I applied online via the Walmart website and in about a week they gave me a call asking for an interview. I walk in the store and patiently wait less than a few minutes before the assistant manager brings me in. The questions were fairly simple and were along things like "What brings you to Walmart?" and "Tell me about yourself" Overall the interview took less than 5 minutes and I received a job offer.
