I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Paintsville, KY) in Nov 2013
Interview
I received a call on Tuesday and was asked for an interview the very next morning. Went through two interviews, a drug test and now orientation on Friday morning. I was very nervous about what kind of questions they were going to ask, but most of them were pretty simple. I was interviewed first by the department manager, then again by an assistant, then sent for a drug screening. Overall, the process didn't take very long at all. It's just getting that first call that's the harder part, getting them to notice you.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you did something above and beyond your job description, including the steps you took, how the issue/problem was resolved? Also, did you involve anyone else such as a supervisor or another associate?
Phone interview and then asked to come in for in person interview. The hiring manager asked typical interview questions. Why do you want to work here? And asked bout scheduling availability,
There was a lot of questions but overall it went pretty decent. They were your standard interview questions. I am happy with the outcome but maybe I could do better next time.
The interview was brief but straight forward. I interviewed with someone and was done within 15 minutes. They asked a few questions about myself and past job experience. Then I progressed to the next steps in the hiring process. The next steps where orientation.
