I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WTW (Liverpool, Inglaterra) in Feb 2016
Interview
Applied online to Towers Watson, filled in 5 300 word cover letter type answers to questions such as why Towers Watson, why this stream etc. Online tests a week or so later.
A few weeks later I was told that the stream I'd applied to Investment Consultant in London was full so I was offered the option of changing role or location and decided to go for Investment in Leeds. A month later I asked what was happening with my application and apparently my response (for which I received a confirmation email) had never been logged and now the role had closed up...So I applied for the only remaining position left of Actuarial consultant in Bristol and had to redo the initial application before being invited to a telephone interview.
The woman I interviewed with I am sure has been mentioned here a few times and was very rude after the first five minutes. She obviously had a list of sub-questions that she wanted me to cover and interrupted my (albeit long) STAR responses even if it was just to re-ask something that I'd just covered in my response and nevergave a clue to what these sub-questions/topics were. Nothing natural about the conversation, very rigid and hostile, she responded somewhat aggressively to the fact that I'd applied for the investment role originally but was now in the process for actuarial and it was generally just unpleasant for a reason that I can't really put my finger on.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why Willis Towers Watson, Why this stream? Time you worked in a team, time you had to plan something, what do you know about being an actuary and the timescales of progression with exams?
So easy questions but a difficult interview (but if none of this seems familiar then you probably have a different interviewer and so it would actually be a very standard first round interview, but if you get her you'll know about it pretty quick and might be better off with shorter answers? But I really don't know, I just know she wasn't pleased with how long I took).
