      Quality Surveliance Engineer Interview

      Aug 26, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Newcastle upon Tyne, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at WSP (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Aug 2015

      Interview

Was nominated by an employee, then contacted for an interview. Had to travel from Somerset to Newcastle, cost over £250.00 for the trip as had to do it over 2 days and will only get a maximum of £150.00 back. No contact or decision given within the time frame so had to call myself and was given no explanation why. Over 3 weeks later I still haven't been reimbursed. I'm not at all bitter about not getting an offer at all, I wish to highlight that fully but I would expect, like most others a level of professionalism during an interview. A derogatory comment was made about my profession within the first sentence of one the interviewers before any questions were asked and it seemed that this interviewer just wanted to continuously and repeatedly expose weaknesses and seemed joyful when had the chance to talk, not a single strength was highlighted or allowed to be elaborated on. Seemed to be overly and somewhat synthetically confused over C.V. content and I felt within about 2-3 minutes that I wasting his time ... The other interviewer hardly got a chance to say anything.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

A series of vaguely explained questions of which they knew I wouldn't really know, this continued throughout the interview and was drawn out ... When a question came up that I did have a good answer for I was cut short.
