I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Garden City, NY)
Interview
I enjoyed this interview. I had a one on one interview with a manager since the other applicant did not show. I found the manager was very welcoming and understanding of why I left my previous job. The manager was very open to answering my questions about the position and described the duties of the position I applied for clearly.
Received a call two days after applying to set up an interview. Interviewed with another candidate. Explained policy and asked hypotheticals. No surprises! Called references then asked if I could come in at 6am (stock req). Couldn't because of school - that's why I didn't receive an offer?
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Honolulu, HI) in Dec 2010
Interview
I interviewed for a Victoria Secret Pink store during the holiday season. The initial interview was in a group format. I think it lasted about 15 minutes and the interviewer just wanted to see which candidates could work overnight stock. I was lucky because I wanted to work an overnight position. The call back was another group interview to see if our backgrounds fit the position. They were hiring and needed people immediately, but since this was stock they seemed more keen on asking the men questions. I felt if I was able to talk on a one on one interview I would have received this position. I think most of the people they chose recently worked in a store doing stock work.
