I applied in person at a Victoria's Secret store in the area. I dressed in nicely ironed clothes, filled in my application on the spot, and handed in a resume at the same time. The girl took my application, glanced it over and said, "Thank you very much." I got a call the next day informing me that there would be a group interview in about a week.
Thanks to reviews on this site, I was able to get prepared enough to the point where I felt comfortable answering any of the top 5 interview questions. I showed up early, wore all black and brought along a notepad, extra resumes and armed myself with a few questions of my own to ask.
There were 8 other girls, and one guy. I was the only one dressed in all black, but to be honest, I don't think it made much of a difference. The interviewers were nice and friendly. We all sat around a table and they asked about 6 questions... ALL RELATING TO SALES EXPERIENCE, which I didn't have. I was the only one who did not have any sales experience, so I had to make the best of what I did have, so I tried to relate all the questions to my previous job which had nothing to do with retail. Needless to say, I was babbling, and I completely botched the interview.
Supposed to find the verdict out by tomorrow, but I'm not expecting anything. I will actually be shocked if I get the job.
