I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Lake Grove, NY) in Aug 2012
Interview
It was a group interview at a table in the mall's food court. Asked everyone the same question and we went around answering. They asked us what part of the store we'd prefer but in the end they chose and it seemed like it was based off looks. Good looking people were put on register or in Pink section, rest were scattered throughout the store and backroom. Some of the questions were actually hard than I thought, they gave scenarios and we each had to say what we would do in it. There was only one right answer and they made the people who got it wrong feel dumb (it was about witnessing a coworker stealing).
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
