Interview
Very informal, 10 minute interview on the store floor. Asked why I was interested in retail and how to handle different conflicts in the job (theft, loss prevention, etc). After meeting with one of the manager one-on-one, they called my references, and I received a job offer the next day!
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
