I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret in Nov 2008
Interview
I went into the Victoria's Secret store dressed very professionally and asked to fill out an application. I returned my application the same day, and was contacted within a week. I was interviewed by both of the hiring managers. They looked over my resume and asked a few questions about my experience in retail. They then thanked me for my time. They called me the next day to tell me I got the job. I came back in to watch training videos. They gave me a booklet that detailed each product so I could familiarize myself with everything they sold.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
