I applied in person on 4/24, received a call the next day about setting up an interview for the next week 5/3. There were two people interviewing me, and there was another candidate being interviewed with me. We sat in a common area in the mall. The interview was fun, pretty informal. The interviewers had handbooks that they read the questions right out of. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. After the interview, I was told I should hear back from them in the next few days about scheduling a second interview with the store manager. So about 3 days later I got a call to come in for a second interview, for the next day 5/7. I went in for the next interview and it was also a group interview, with an assistant store manager. It was very similar to the first one, but shorter. After that interview I was told they would check references and get back to me later that week. I didn't hear anything from them, so I called the store on 5/13 and asked about the job (like what stage they were in, in the hiring process, if they checked my references). Then I was told the hiring manager had been out of town and would get to them later that day. The next day 5/14 I received a call saying they didn't forget about me, but that they just had to check my references and I should hear from them by the end of the week. I was feeling uncertain that I got the job, I thought they were just jerking me around and would end up not offering me a position. And then when I just about gave up hope, I received a call on 5/19 from a manager offering me a position as a sales associate that would be cross trained in all other areas and asked to come in the following week to start training 5/28. So it was a long process, but it finally ended on a positive note.
