I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Towson, MD) in Apr 2013
Interview
I had applied in person and handed my application in to an assistant manager. They said they were hiring and reviewing applications, admired my handwriting and proceeded to tell me that if I had the qualifications they were looking for they'd contact me. About 1 or 2 weeks later I got the call from VS saying they'd like to schedule an interview the following week. I walked in to the store about 10 minutes early and told an associate I was here for an interview and she told a manager. The manager came out and brought me and guy in to be interviewed. We were brought into the back and into the interview/training room. She asked me and him several questions and it was very laid back but still professional. She asked how I would make a woman feel comfortable for a fitting and asked the guy I was being interviewed with the same question and how he would function in a female focused company. The manager was very nice and very laid back. She made jokes and asked about our lives and seemed interested and genuine. She also asked us what position we could see ourselves working in. I answered as cashier or sales associate. She suggested I be a cashier because my resume showed that I was organized. She reviewed our applications and unsual from other interviews I've been in, she told us what she liked about our resumes and what stood out. She said they get tons of applications a day and for us two to be sitting there, we were one of the top resumes. That was very assuring and I was pretty sure and very hopeful that I was going to be offered a job. I love the company and I feel it'd be a great company to work for.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you make a woman feel comfortable during a bra sizing/fitting?
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
