Verizon's recruiting contractor found my resume from one of the sites I posted it to and contacted me by email. I verified I would be interested in working for Verizon and they set up a time for a phone interview. Then somebody from Verizon's HR interviews you.

Question 1
Nothing special or unusual ("sell this pencil to me", "what animal would you most like to be?", etc). They're wanting to know at this point how your skills, training, and education would make you the best candidate for this position.
On phone interview and in person interview were very good cordial. I had to fly to Kansas to take the interview unpaid for but i was determined for this job.

Interview
The written test was easy but the cutoff was high(the test was from amcat).the next process was technical interview. Questions were asked from resume and general programming knowledge .the next process was Hr interview,be prepared for a stress interview as i had one and also be prepared for a few mathematical puzzles .
