Interview
I found the listing for a Sales Associate online through Indeed and when I applied it was through Workday. I received a call several days later to come in for an interview the following week. To prepare myself, I did some extra research on the company and also read reviews and interview questions through Glassdoor. The interview ended up being a group interview, something I have never done before. There were three other girls. We were all dressed casual/business casual, with me and another girl definitely dressed as what an employee would wear. The group interview was not done in store, but rather elsewhere in the mall. It was kind of noisy, so it was hard to fully listen and hear what the interviewer was asking. I wish it were done some place quieter. In the beginning he introduced himself, what the job entailed, etc. He then started to ask the questions and each of us would answer. At the end he said he would get back to all of us soon as the store was busy taking care of things, and that another interview would be set up, but with the manager. I've worked at several retail stores and never had to do two interviews. I felt like I was the oldest person there and also out of the other candidates had the most experience with retail. Several hours later after the interview, I got a call from the person who gave the interview and told me I was not moving on, but to check out their back to school deals? It seemed like they were looking for younger individuals with little to no experience. I think I was not chosen because I was overqualified. If you have an interview with them, I suggest preparing yourself for what type of questions would be asked and wear casual clothes - like the associates in the store do.

Interview
Process took 2 weeks. I applied online and got a call the next day from the store asking if I could come in for an interview the following week. The store was packed the day of the interview so the interviewer was 10-15 minutes late, it was a group interview but with just one other person. It was mad chill, we got interviewed by a sales floor leader b/c the original interviewer called out sick. He asked us generic questions and the whole thing took about 10-15 minutes. He told us they'd contact us back within a week to set up another interview with the manager if they liked us.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vans (Camarillo, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
Group interview with three other potential employees, the store manager, and another manager. They asked us the questions outside of the store away from other employees in a no pressure environment.
