I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Valeo
Interview
The post was for Embedded Software Engineer, but they had separate requirement for someone who has experience working in project based on Digital Image Processing and Machine Vision. Since my resume mentioned that my post graduate project is based on that, I got called directly for the technical interview.
After a formal introduction, the panel jumped directly on my project topic and asked me to explain it. The panel kept asking questions on Image Processing related to the project. After my project, they asked some question on signal processing and C programming. I fumbled during coming up with logic for C programming question, which turned out to be my minus point and hence wasn't selected for the next round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some Image Processing questions:
1.Types and examples of segmentation, follow up with explanation of Watershed Segmentation
2.Filters used in image processing
3.How can you blur an given image
4.What is histogram equalization? What does in do? Give an example. Does information gets lost after performing histogram equalization?
5.How is an image stored in MATLAB workspace in RGB and Gray format? Explain in details how an filtering process is carried out on an image.
You can skip their questions with ease, but they still reject you, you can get the rejection email and the acceptance email on the same day together, and this shows the extent of their administrative confusion.
It is quite easy
The first round is group discussion, the second round is the HR round, and the third round is the manager round. Those who cleared all these rounds then only get the offer letter
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Valeo in Feb 2025
Interview
