In my experience the interview process was more easy than difficult, but it needs serious and honest preparation. No shortcuts. Also in my experience the process was very positive and professional. The recruiters are doing a great job not being at all biased.
It is also noteworthy that there is a waiting period before you can apply again if you get rejected. And that period differs based on the which process step you were rejected at, and reason for which you were rejected.
The screening process evaluates your technical level via exams and interviews, your English level also via exams and interviews, and your potential as a professional via HR and managerial level interviews.
I got a call about 2 weeks after applying. It was a short English screening call, afterwhich I was invited to start the screening process at Valeo's premises.
The whole process took less than 3 weeks from that first call till I received the offer. It was distributed over several visits to Valeo's site. Some visits involved only one screening process, some involved more than one. At the end of each visit I had been told to expect the results of the processes that went down during that visit within 2 weeks. But what would actually happen is I would get contacted again much sooner (same week) to set a date for the next screening process.
