I got a call from the hiring manager, she asked if I can ski blue runs comfortably. I told her I could, and then I was hired. It was very simple and straightforward, although it is somewhat difficult to get housing if you’re not full time.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vail Resorts (Truckee, CA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Brief and detailed enough so that both parties understood the demands and opportunities. Traditionally it starts with a phone screen, then 1 on-site and then followed by an acceptance call. In some cases during hiring events, there are group interviews.

Question 1
If you were skiing in a line with your class, would you ski in front or in back?
between 45 minutes and an hour asked about past experience goals education hobbies pretty straightforward every resort pretty much has the same set of questions, and interviews last same amount of time
Two phone screens. Super friendly on the calls. They wanted to learn about my history skiing and why I was interested in becoming an instructor. After the offer was given to me they were great about answering questions I had about the position.
