      Application

      Interview

Phone interview went great. Was followed by an all day interview with multiply round table meetings. Most people were nice but a whole day of questions was overkill for the position and pay. The last person to interview me I should have reported to HR for being unprofessional. As this person would have been one of my direct supervisors, I was happy I didn't get a call back. I had to use an entire sick day to go to the interview which again seemed unnecessary.

      Marketing Coordinator Interview

      Oct 29, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vail Resorts (Denver, CO) in Dec 2015

      Interview

The interview process at Vail Resorts started off great. I had two phone interviews with Vail Resorts. The first interview was with a recruiter which was basically a nice talk about my past, why I am interested in the company, and what qualified me for the position. The recruiter told me right away that I seemed like a good fit for the position and scheduled another phone interview with the manager. The second interview went very well too. I was asked more job specific questions such as describing projects which related to the tasks I would be doing. After a 30 minute talk the manager told me that she had 2 more interviews scheduled and would get back to me with a decision by the end of the week. After 2 weeks I still did not hear from them and tried contacting both, the recruiter and manager and neither one reacted. I tried emailing and calling but was not able to reach anyone. After more than a month (!!!) the recruiter finally wrote a rather impersonal email stating that they found someone else. I understand if there was someone else with better qualifications but they let me wait over a month and also put the job back on their career page. Overall just a very disappointing outcome and very frustrating experience.

      Question 1

Why did you apply for this position? What do you know about Vail Reports? Tell me about some of the projects you worked on in the past. Do you have any experience in print?
