Thanks for writing a review and for speaking with our recruiting team. We know that people are often speaking to multiple companies and prioritize clarity of process so that you can make your best decisions in a timely manner. I apologize, as it sounds like that communication, while well intentioned, could have been handled better in this case.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Montreal, QC) in May 2017
Interview
Approached by an internal recruiter on LinkedIn.
After a few messages, and a phone conversation, I have asked to do an online test.
It was a 2 hours test with 4 questions (easy to difficult)
After that, it was two on-site interview. The first one was technical with two leads. Questions about my background, software architecture and certain technologies that were part of job description. Plus a semi whiteboarding question with a few follow up questions.
The second interview was an HR interview. A few challenging questions, and a friendly talk.
After that two interview, I was invited for two more interviews. First one with my future team. A hybrid of a technical and cultural interview. And finally, an interview with my future manager (culture fit, etc.)
In general, the process was very professional and the interview timing was very flexible.

Question 1
HR:
Why do you want to join Unity?
Technical (Online Test): codility.com
1. A JS code with a bug to be fixed.
2. Two algorithm questions.
Wonderful review of interview process for our Montreal team! Thanks so much for taking the time and responding to our linkedin message. We hope you are enjoying your time at Unity-welcome.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unity in Dec 2016
Interview
Recruiter reached out to set up a call with a hiring manager. Chatted with a Senior Software Engineer briefly about his role and what his team does, and talked about my experience and past projects. Did not ask about why I wanted to work there, solely focused on describing skills. The team had a big emphasis on JavaScript, which I do not have a lot of experience in, which I think is why I did not move on. Not sure why I was selected for this particular team if it's clear from my resume that I don't have this background. Friendly chat, learned a lot about the company
Thanks for sharing your experience. We take all of this feedback into consideration for interviewer and recruiter training and we appreciate you taking time to share.
